1. Known Branded Senders

This banner displays when a Valid Email is received from a Brand Sender




2. Known Internal Senders

This banner displays when a Valid Email is received from an Internal Sender in your Organization.
This includes all Notes emails, as well as emails received from other non-Notes external senders, such as a separate division that uses O365 or another mail system.

3. Known External Senders

This banner displays when a Valid Email is received from a sender who is a Known Sender.
Known Senders are:
- People who can be found in your "Mail Contacts" list in your HCL Notes mailfile
- People to whom you have Send an Outbound Message (as found in your Sent folder)

4. External Senders with a Valid Email

This banner displays when a Valid Email is received from a sender who is a not a Known Sender.

- Sender cannot be found in your "Mail Contacts" list in your HCL Notes mailfile
- Sender has never received an Outbound Message (no messages were found in your Sent folder)

If you click Add to Contacts for this sender, they will appear as below for all future messages:



5. External Senders whose email is not a Valid Email

This banner displays when a mail message that is not a Valid Email is received.
Verisend cannot validate the sender of the email, so it cannot be trusted, even if you know or recognize the sender name.
Anyone can forge a sender name.
Do not trust this email, or click any links.

Because we cannot verify the sender, no "Add to Contacts" buttons are available.

6. External Senders whose email is a fake.

This banner displays when an email is a fake (SPF "fail")

This could be phishing, fake or fraud email.

Do not trust it, even if it looks legitimate, because it is not legitimate.

You should also receive an email immediately, as well as a second email confirming that the domain was accepted and added to our list, or explaining why it was not accepted.

Note: Email providers like gmail.com are not Brand Senders. For personal emails from the gmail.com domain, where you know the sender, you should use the Add to Contacts option.
